Shy and Shaquille wanted to create a print which reflected their thoughts while locked up. Both young men said the word ‘Release’ is something every inmate locked up at a Youth Offenders Institute thought about every day. Their release date was something they all worked towards.

The InsideOut project is the UK’s first clothing brand created, designed and hand produced by young ex-offenders.

InsideOut’s main mission is to generate realistic job prospects for young people leaving the justice system by creating opportunities in business through fashion and design.
